Job Description
This is a two-part study. The consultant will assess progress of an Evaluation project in Kenya towards its intended outcomes and impact, the prospect of these changes being sustainable, and provide recommendations to address any gaps to ensure targets can be met by the close of the project; and, 2) at the close of the project, again assess the outcomes, impact and potential sustainability of the programme and identify learnings and recommendations that would strengthen future programming in this sector
Experts Profile
- The consultant should have expertise in carrying out evaluations, have good experience on participatory research methods and tools.
- S/he should have competency in managing, organizing and interpreting quantitative and qualitative data and information.
The consultant should have the following academic qualifications and experiences:
Qualifications and Skills:
- Postgraduate university degree or equivalent with relevant work experience in development studies, social development, education or related fields.
- Strong writing and communication skills- working proficiency in English language mandatory; strong knowledge of local language preferred.
General Professional Experience:
At least five years of hands on experience in conducting assessments and evaluations in Kenya is essential;
Expertise and experience of researching advocacy interventions and complexity of health governance ;
Organizational development and capacity building experience;
Computer literacy (minimum MS Word, Excel, MIS)
