Kenya records 325 new cases of Covid-19 – The Star, Kenya

Health CS Mutahi Kagwe said on Sunday through a statement that 325 new cases of coronavirus were confirmed in the last 24 hours.
The new cases were picked from a sample size of 3,282, pushing the positive cases in the country since March 13, 2020, to 105,73.
The cumulative tests conducted in the country are 1,28,839.
The CS said that from the new cases, 296 are Kenyans while 29 are foreigners. Also, 245 are males and 80 are females.
The youngest patient from the new cases is a one-year-old baby and the oldest is 85.
Two patients have succumbed to the virus, totaling the fatalities to 1,856.
Kagwe said that sixty-nine patients have recovered from the virus, 58 from the Home Based Isolation and Care while 11 are from various health facilities.
The total recoveries in the country now stand at 86,678.
A total of 347 patients are currently admitted to various health facilities in the country while 1,495 are on Home Based Isolation and Care.
Fifty-eight patients are in the Intensive Care Unit, 26 of whom are on ventilatory support and 28 are on supplemental oxygen. Four patients are also on observation.
Fifteen patients are separately on supplementary oxygen with 14 of whom are in general wards.
One patient is also in the High Dependency Unit.
From the new cases, Nairobi had 207, Busia 30, Mombasa 21, Machakos 14, Kiambu 11, and Kajiado 9.
Uasin Gishu 5, Garissa 5, Nakuru 4, Meru 4, Tharaka Nnithi 4, Murang’a 2, and Kericho 2.
Kirinyaga, Makueni, Migori, Narok, Kakmega, Bungoma and West Pokot had single cases each.
