Kenyans on social media are praising a police officer who was spotted manning traffic passionately in a clip that has since gone viral.

In the heartwarming video shared by the National Police Service, the traffic cop was seen animatedly directing motorists by lifting his leg to imitate a driver stepping on the gas and waving his arms.
However, behind his passion for his job in the police service, the officer identified as Corporal Ouko is also a published author, a skill that he honed after facing some troubles in his relationship.

According to the Directorate of Criminal Investigations, the corporal wrote a book on love and marriage after he busted a woman he was intending to marry in a comprising situation with another man.

“He says he was motivated to write the book after he found a lady he loved and was intending to marry, in a compromising situation with another man. He however pulled himself together and moved on,” the DCI said on its social media pages.
Ouko has previously served as a general duty officer in Nyeri and a Children’s officer in Nakuru.
As earlier reported, Kenyans watching the corporal antics along Mombasa Road were amused, and one bystander stepped forward to imitate the cop.
However, the officer pushed him back, perhaps seeing that the man was not wearing a reflective jacket.
“Work and fun,” the NPS captioned the clip.
